Since its introduction in 1945, Delgado’s Automotive Program has provided the necessary education for our students to begin their Automotive careers for 75 years. We are proud to say that our Automotive program can offer:
- Highly skilled and certified faculty with over 250 years of combined Automotive industry experience AND most of our faculty are Delgado graduates.
- Over 40 thousand sq ft of shop/classroom space.
- Multiple automotive curriculum pathways including 1-year and 2-year programs, Collision Repair, General Automotive Repair, and Manufacturer sponsored programs (with employment at an automotive dealership).
- Affordable tuition and financial aid for those who qualify.
- Access to the same web training as career technicians from companies like Chrysler, Audi, Toyota, Subaru, and Volvo.
- We are the only school in Louisiana to offer the Ford ASSET and GM ASEP programs.

Admissions
Delgado Community College is an open admissions institution, as established by the Louisiana Legislature and approved by the Board of Regents and Louisiana Community and Technical College System. Any person above the age of 16, regardless of prior academic preparation, may be fully admitted to Delgado as long as the following criteria are satisfied:
- The person has completed and submitted an application for admission. As well as these two requirements, which will be part of your admissions process (and we can help).
- The person has provided proof of selective service registration as required by Louisiana.
- The person has satisfied the requirements of Louisiana related to the immunization of persons entering school.
