About

This is a unique type of program where you are hired by an employer, paid to learn, and earn industry-based credentials all along the way so that you gain skills that are highly desired in our region.

The two-year commitment will provide both technical classroom instruction and on-the-job training using an earn-while-you-learn model with training costs covered completely by your employer. Once accepted by an employer, you will earn a paycheck. You will alternate between 8 weeks of classroom work and 8 weeks at your chosen company for the duration of the program. Participants in the program will gain experience in a wide range of core competencies including basic machining (mill, lathe, drilling, tapping, etc), reading blueprints, using electronic systems, and much more.
