Training Program Length: 3 years of high school and 12-15 months of nursing school. The program starts in the students high school sophomore (grade ten) year and runs through completion of nursing school.

The nursing pre-apprenticeship is a nursing training program, in which students will be involved in career exploration, essential business skills, group projects and summer internships. The students will be enrolled in dual enrollment prerequisite classes, at Delgado Charity School of Nursing. Upon high school graduation, the students will have the choice to enroll in the Delgado Charity School of Nursing and be given the opportunity to interview for transition into a paid apprenticeship with Ochsner Health. Students will have the decision on either a practical nursing or registered nursing track.
