Welcome to the Innovation Academy at the University of New Orleans! Courses are designed to accommodate a range of learning styles and provide flexibility for learning on your own time. The duration of Innovation Academy courses are between 6 to 8 weeks each and include weekly one-hour live virtual web conferences led by instructors. In addition, students are provided with learning materials, activities, discussion forums, and assignments through UNO’s learning environment, organized into weekly modules for self-directed learning. Innovation Academy students can expect to spend approximately 7 to 12 hours a week studying outside of weekly web conferences with instructors.

Immediately upon successful completion of an immersion program, competitive Innovation Academy students will be eligible to apply for our apprenticeship program. Students will be placed with an employer partner and paid an entry-level wage as an apprentice for this career. Apprentices will be "on-the-job training" for approximately 8 to 15 weeks following completion of their immersion program. Apprentices begin at a wage schedule of $20+ per hour.
Admissions
Applicants must be 18 or older and have completed their high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, applicants must have access to a computer.
